The Hague secures agreement for up to 8,000 new homes in Binckhorst district

The Dutch national government and the Holland‑South region have signed an intent agreement to construct between 7,500 and 8,000 residential units in the Binckhorst area of The Hague. The deal, reached through a “breakthrough approach,” also settles negotiations with neighboring municipalities that had previously been difficult.

The parties indicated that work is ongoing on additional breakthrough locations, but the Binckhorst project marks a concrete step toward expanding housing supply in the capital region.
