The Hague to host Democracy Day at city hall

The Hague will host Democracy Day on Saturday, September 12, at the city hall council chamber on the Spui. The event is held in conjunction with Heritage Day and aims to educate the public on how the municipal council operates and how local decisions are made.

From 11:00 to 15:00, a free program will be available for all ages. Activities include a political market to meet local parties, a political quiz, and speed dating sessions where residents can engage directly with council members. For children and youth aged 8 and older, the interactive DemocraCity activity allows participants to build their own city to learn about democratic decision-making processes.
