The Home Depot launches program to introduce students to skilled trades

To encourage interest in the skilled trades, The Home Depot has launched the ‘Path to Pro Skills Explorers’ program. Developed in partnership with Scouting America and Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the initiative provides free and accessible resources to introduce students to fields such as plumbing, construction, and electrical work.

Mentors and parents are encouraged to foster career awareness by initiating casual conversations early and providing hands-on learning opportunities. Such practical experiences allow young people to troubleshoot problems and build tangible items, helping them connect personal interests to potential professional paths in the trades.
