The Hu and SKÁLD perform folk-metal shows in Germany

Mongolian folk-rock band The Hu and French neo-folk collective SKÁLD performed as part of a European tour, with notable shows in Hamburg and Berlin.

In Hamburg, the duo performed at the Sporthalle. SKÁLD utilized traditional instruments such as drums, the Estonian lyre (talharpa), horns, and animal bones to interpret Old Norse myths through music.

In Berlin, The Hu performed at the Columbiahalle for approximately 3,500 fans. The band is known for blending heavy metal with traditional Mongolian elements, including throat singing and the horsehead fiddle. Recognized by UNESCO as ‘Artists for Peace’, the group incorporates traditional Mongolian instruments like the mouth harp and shepherd's flute into their heavy metal style.
