The Invite home entertainment release dates announced

The relationship comedy “The Invite,” directed by Olivia Wilde, is scheduled for home entertainment release. The film will be available digitally on October 9, 2026, followed by Blu-ray and DVD releases on October 23, 2026.

Based on the Spanish film “Sentimental” by Cesc Gay, the story follows Angela (Olivia Wilde) and Joe (Seth Rogen), a couple married for 15 years whose relationship is strained by routine and unspoken conflicts. Their dynamic is challenged when they host neighbors Pina (Penélope Cruz) and Hawk (Edward Norton) for dinner. The guests' openness regarding their own relationship forces the hosts to confront their own views on intimacy, fidelity, and personal freedom.

The film features a concentrated cast and setting, focusing on the emotional tension and comedic friction between the four central characters as they navigate different perceptions of closeness and honesty.
