The Italian Sea Group receives court approval for solidarity contracts

The Florence Bankruptcy Court has authorized the activation of solidarity contracts for workers at The Italian Sea Group. This decision follows an agreement signed in the Tuscany region on September 9 and subsequent favorable opinions from commissioners.

Labor unions Uilm Uil and Fim Cisl noted that this authorization is a critical step in safeguarding employment for both direct employees and the broader supply chain. By activating social safety nets at the main shipyard, supplier companies can also request linked social security benefits, creating a protective network for the entire production chain.

The unions emphasized that the final decisive step is obtaining definitive approval from the Ministry of Labor to provide immediate certainty to the workforce and the associated industries.
