Sanremo Giovani 2026: 60 artists selected for live auditions

The Musical Commission for Sanremo Giovani 2026 has announced the 60 artists selected to participate in live auditions at the Sala A in Rome. The group consists of 55 soloists—comprising 24 women and 31 men—and five musical groups. Notably, the selection shows a significant increase in female participation, reaching near parity with male candidates.

Among the shortlisted names are several artists previously known from talent shows such as Amici and X Factor, including Emma Muscat, Albe, Petit, Jacopo Sol, and rob. The selection also includes regional representation from across Italy, with the South and Islands leading with 23 participants, followed by the Center and North with 18 each.

The auditions are overseen by a commission led by Artistic Director Stefano De Martino, alongside members Noemi, Fabio Volo, Carlo Pastore, Maestro Pino Perris, Ema Stokholma, and Claudio Fasulo. Following these auditions and the Area Sanremo circuit, 30 artists will advance to the next stage. The process will culminate in a final on December 11, 2026, where six finalists will compete for a single spot in the Champions section of the 2027 Sanremo Festival.
