The Jakmania and Bobotoh supporters declare peace in Bekasi

Representatives from the The Jakmania and Bobotoh supporter groups in Bekasi, West Java, have declared a commitment to maintain peace and regional stability ahead of the football match between Persija Jakarta and Persib Bandung at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium.

The agreement was reached during a Supporter Friendship Forum initiated by the Metro Bekasi City Police on Thursday night. Key points of the agreement include strengthening communication networks between supporter coordinators, anticipating potential provocations, and curbing destructive narratives on social media. Both groups also agreed to prioritize verified information to minimize the spread of disinformation before, during, and after the match.

In addition to digital security, the meeting addressed physical safety, including member data collection, transportation capacity, and technical coordination for supporter travel. Police Chief Kombes Putu Kholis Aryana emphasized that football should serve as a unifying force rather than a source of division.
