The James Brand releases Helton Multitool

Portland-based outfitter The James Brand has launched the Helton Multitool, a slim, all-metal everyday carry tool developed over three years of prototyping. Designed to avoid the bulk of traditional multitools, the device features a minimalist aesthetic and is constructed from 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum.

The Helton includes nine functional implements: a partially serrated VG-10 stainless steel drop-point blade, spring-action scissors, a dual-sided coarse and nail file, a bottle opener, a removable metal pick, chisel-tip tweezers, and two magnetized drivers (#2 Phillips and 4.5mm flathead). A proprietary locking mechanism secures the tools during use.

Measuring 3.5 inches when closed and weighing approximately 3.5 ounces with a pocket clip, the tool is designed for portability. It is available in several finishes, including Black + Stainless, Black + Black, and Grove + Stainless, with a retail price of approximately $179.
