The Jayhawks release 12th studio album ‘Sanctuary Park’

The Jayhawks have released their 12th studio album, ‘Sanctuary Park’, marking the 40th anniversary of the band. The eleven-track project, released via Thirty Tigers, features a lush, jangly sound characterized by the group’s signature three-part harmonies.

Recorded in Toronto, the album sees the band reuniting with producer Bob Ezrin, who previously worked on their 2000 album ‘Smile’. The songwriting, led by Gary Louris, explores themes of nostalgia and the innocence of youth viewed through an adult lens. Notable tracks include ‘Keeping Our Heads Above Water’, ‘Hands on the Wheel’, and ‘Mr Lincoln’.

The band lineup for this release includes Gary Louris, Marc Perlman on bass and mandolin, Karen Grotberg on keyboards and vocals, and Tim O’Reagan on drums and percussion.
