The Jockey Club elects new stewards and members

The Jockey Club has announced new leadership and membership appointments. Joe Appelbaum and C. Steven Duncker have been elected as stewards, while Everett R. Dobson was reelected as chairman.

In addition to the steward elections, ten new members have been selected for admission in 2026. The incoming members include Carrie Brogden of Machmer Hall, Michael Dubb of The Beechwood Organization, Bob Edwards of e5 Racing Thoroughbreds, Peter J. Fluor, Greg Goodman of Mt. Brilliant Farm, Gretchen Jackson of Lael Stables, Josh Rubinstein of the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, Mark Taylor of Taylor Made Farm, Jonathan Thorne, and Tom Ventura of OBS.

The existing board of stewards includes vice chairman William S. Farish Jr., Gary Fenton, Terry Finley, treasurer Ian D. Highet, Marc Holliday, Bret Jones, secretary William M. Lear Jr., David O’Farrell, and Vincent Viola.
