The Killers prepare new album as Sam’s Town nears 20th anniversary

Brandon Flowers, frontman of the Las Vegas band The Killers, has confirmed that the group is working on a new studio album. During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Flowers noted that while several potential titles are being considered, it is too early to officially announce the name of the upcoming project.

The band has been meeting periodically in Salt Lake City to write and record demos, collaborating with producers Ariel Rechtshaid and Shawn Everett. This follows their 2021 release, Pressure Machine.

Separately, the band’s second studio album, Sam’s Town, approaches its 20th anniversary. Originally released in 2006, the record marked a stylistic shift from the electronic sound of their debut, Hot Fuss, toward a more personal rock sound influenced by artists such as Bruce Springsteen and U2. The album explored themes of American identity and small-town life, rooted in the band's Las Vegas origins.
