The Last Diamond releases debut single on guitarist Mei Nekozuki's birthday

Japanese girl‑rock band The Last Diamond released their debut single “Kuki Yomuna!” digitally at midnight JST on 29 July, coinciding with the birthday of founding guitarist Mei Nekozuki, who died suddenly earlier that month. The band consulted Nekozuki’s family and chose to keep the original release schedule, stating that the song preserves the sound and feelings she poured into the work.

The single’s music video premiered on the band’s and Tokuma Japan Communications’ YouTube channels at 6 pm JST the same day. The group, formed around voice‑actor and singer Anna Suzuki (ANNA) and joined by guitarist Yuri and support bassist Pinyo, thanked fans for their support and pledged to continue the project in Nekozuki’s memory.
