The Last Dive documentary trailer released

A new trailer has been released for Cody Sheehy’s documentary, ‘The Last Dive’, which follows the life of American Navy veteran Terry Kennedy. The film explores Kennedy’s decades-long relationship with Willy, a 22-foot oceanic manta ray found near Baja, Mexico.

Kennedy, a former Hell’s Angel, describes how his association with the manta ray transformed him into an ocean conservationist. Now in his eighties, Kennedy embarks on a final expedition to a remote volcanic island in an attempt to reunite with Willy and find personal closure.

Produced by Common Pictures alongside several partners, including RandomGood Films and Rhumbline Media, the film is set to premiere at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival. Area 23A is scheduled to release the documentary in theaters on November 10, 2026.
