The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Concert tour announced for Japan
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the ‘The Legend of Zelda’ series, a series of orchestral concerts will be held across five cities in Japan starting in January 2027. This marks the first live audience concert for the franchise in nine years.
The tour will include performances in Tokyo, Fukuoka, Hokkaido, Kyoto, and Kanagawa. Each location will feature a different professional orchestra, such as the Kyushu Symphony Orchestra in Fukuoka and the Kyoto Symphony Orchestra in Kyoto. For the Tokyo and Kanagawa shows, a specially formed ensemble called the ‘Hyrule Symphony Orchestra’ will perform. Taizo Takemoto will serve as the conductor for all shows.
The concerts will feature full orchestral arrangements of music from the series, accompanied by game footage on screen. Featured soloists will perform on the ocarina, harp, and accordion. Ticket lottery applications began on September 25, 2026, with general sales scheduled for November 18, 2026. Ticket tiers include ‘Master Seats’ which come with exclusive merchandise.
