The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake generates high interest ahead of 2026 release

Anticipation is building for the remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, scheduled for release on November 5, 2026. While Activision Chief Marketing Officer Tyler Bahl suggests that Grand Theft Auto 6 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will be the most significant titles of that year, market data indicates strong interest in the Nintendo title.

Analyst Mat Piscatella of Circana noted that while Modern Warfare 4 has a 15% purchase intent among US console and PC players, the Zelda remake holds a 10.4% intent rate. However, because the Zelda title is expected to be a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive, the interest rate per potential player is significantly higher than that of the broader Call of Duty audience.

In preparation for the release, various Zelda-themed merchandise, including Link figures and Amiibos, are being highlighted on platforms like Amazon.
