The Long Walk tops HBO Max U.S. streaming chart

The film adaptation of Stephen King’s novel *The Long Walk* debuted at No. 1 on HBO Max’s U.S. streaming rankings, overtaking titles such as *The Mummy* and *Deadpool 2*. The movie, released by Lionsgate and directed by Francis Lawrence, follows a group of teenage boys forced to keep walking at a minimum speed or be killed.

Produced on an estimated $20 million budget, the thriller earned more than $63 million worldwide, including over $35 million in North America, and turned a profit.
