The Lost Children of Tuam film secures UK release

The Lost Children of Tuam, directed by Frank Berry and starring BAFTA‑winner Monica Dolan, tells the story of local historian Catherine Corless and her discovery that nearly 800 infants were buried in unmarked graves at the Bon Secours Mother and Baby Home in Tuam, County Galway. The film, produced in part by Liam Neeson and presented by BBC Film, Screen Ireland and Element Pictures, won Best Irish Film at the Galway Film Fleadh and qualified for the 2027 BAFTA Film Awards.

Picturehouse Entertainment has acquired UK distribution rights, with managing director Sara Frain describing the film as "powerful and deeply moving". It will be released in Ireland on 25 September and is slated for a UK release later in the year, bringing the Irish‑based drama to audiences across both countries.
