Prime Video releases trailer for ‘The Love Hypothesis’ starring Lili Reinhart
Prime Video has released the official trailer for ‘The Love Hypothesis’, a romantic comedy film adaptation of Ali Hazelwood’s 2021 bestselling novel. The film stars Lili Reinhart as Olive Smith, a biology PhD candidate, and Tom Bateman as Dr. Adam Carlsen, an intimidating professor.
The plot follows Olive as she impulsively kisses Adam to convince her best friend, Ahn, that she has moved on from a previous crush. This encounter leads the two characters into a fake relationship governed by specific rules and boundaries. As the story progresses, the distinction between their performed arrangement and genuine emotions begins to blur.
Directed by Claire Scanlon from a screenplay by Sarah Rothschild, the production also features executive producers Ali Hazelwood and Lili Reinhart. The film is scheduled for a global streaming release on Prime Video on September 23, 2026.
