The Magic Faraway Tree film premieres in Brazil

The fantasy film ‘The Magic Faraway Tree’ (A Maravilhosa Árvore Encantada), based on the classic children's book series by Enid Blyton, is scheduled for release in Brazilian cinemas on Thursday, September 10. Distributed by Diamond Films, the movie stars Andrew Garfield, Claire Foy, and Nicola Coughlan.

The plot follows the Thompson family, who move from a hyper-connected urban environment to the English countryside in an attempt to reconnect and escape digital distractions. The story centers on three children—Beth, Joe, and Fran—who discover a magical tree that serves as a portal to extraordinary worlds inhabited by eccentric characters and fantastic creatures.

Directed by Ben Gregor and written by Simon Farnaby, the film explores themes of family integration and the importance of imagination away from screens. The cast also includes Rebecca Ferguson, Nonso Anozie, and Jennifer Saunders.
