Data from Luminate indicates that ‘The Mandalorian’ was the most-watched Star Wars series on Disney+ during the first half of 2026, accumulating 2.4 billion minutes of viewing despite not releasing new episodes since April 2023. The series ranked third among all Disney+ originals, trailing only ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ and ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’.

Luminate reports that the show’s high viewership was driven by catch-up viewing, particularly surrounding the theatrical release of ‘Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu’. However, the film reportedly underperformed at the box office, grossing $345.2 million worldwide, which Disney noted missed expectations.

In Canada, Disney+ has announced its September 2026 content lineup, which includes the release of ‘Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu’ and ‘Lego Star Wars: The Mandalorian’.
