The Metropolitan Museum of Art hosts Krasner and Pollock exhibition
The Metropolitan Museum of Art is hosting “Krasner and Pollock: Past Continuous,” an exhibition featuring 120 works by Lee Krasner and Jackson Pollock. The show, which runs through January 31, aims to present Krasner with equal artistic weight to her husband, Jackson Pollock.
The exhibition highlights Krasner’s individual talent and her continued evolution as an artist both during and in the decades following her marriage to Pollock. By placing her name first in the title, the museum seeks to re-examine her legacy alongside the Abstract Expressionist mythos of Pollock.
