The Monday Showcase launches music competition for Romanian artists

The Monday Showcase (TMS) has launched a new competition designed to support emerging musical artists and bands in Romania. The project aims to provide new talent with professional stages, real audiences, and opportunities to advance within the music industry.

Scheduled to run from September 14 to December 20, 2026, the competition will feature ten semifinals and a Grand Gala held at the Hard Rock Cafe Bucharest. The initiative is organized as part of a funding session by the Romanian Music Industry Association (AIMR).

The competition process involves a public voting campaign to select ten qualifying acts, followed by ten semifinals where rankings are determined by a 50/50 split between public votes and a professional jury. The top three acts from the semifinals will advance to the Grand Gala, where winners are chosen exclusively by the jury.

Prizes include a total of 10,000 EUR and performance slots at the Roman Arenas. The first-place winner receives 5,000 EUR, an opening slot for a top international artist, and a performance at the Roman Arenas. Second and third place winners receive 2,500 EUR each and opportunities to open for local artists at the Roman Arenas.
