The Moon on a Rainy Night anime announced for 2027

The anime adaptation of the manga ‘The Moon on a Rainy Night’ (Amayo no Tsuki) by Kuzushiro is scheduled to premiere on Japanese television in 2027. A teaser trailer has been released, introducing the story’s central characters and production staff.

The narrative follows Saki Kindaichi, a high school pianist voiced by Iori Saeki, and Kanon Oikawa, a student with a hearing impairment voiced by Sora Amamiya. The story explores the emotional connection and communication barriers between the two protagonists through music and empathy.

Produced by studio CompTown, the series is directed by Tomoe Makino. The creative team includes Shogo Yasukawa on series composition, Ayumi Nishihata on character design, and jizue on music. Other key staff members include Mai Ichioka as art director and Masao Yamamura as animation producer.
