The Movement Centre launches £45k appeal for children's physiotherapy

The Movement Centre, a children’s charity based in Oswestry, Shropshire, has launched its ‘30 for 30’ fundraising campaign to mark its 30th anniversary. The initiative aims to raise £45,000 to provide specialist physiotherapy for 30 children currently on the waiting list for the centre’s Targeted Training programme.

The charity is seeking support from 30 different businesses, organisations, or individuals, with each participant pledging to raise or donate £1,500. These funds are intended to purchase specialist standing frames, which are essential for children to begin their journey toward physical independence.

The West family, owners of Fiveways Insurance Group, was the first to support the campaign with an initial £1,500 donation and an additional £500 for equipment refurbishment. The family noted the long-term benefits of the programme after their godson, who completed the therapy at age four, credited the centre with his physical strength and independence.
