The Mystery Man exhibition arrives in Huelva

The international exhibition ‘The Mystery Man’ is set to open in Huelva, Spain, on November 19 at the Parroquia Mayor de San Pedro. The exhibition, which will remain open until February 2027, explores the history and science surrounding the Shroud of Turin through an immersive experience.

A central feature of the display is a life-sized, hyper-realistic anatomical reconstruction of the figure depicted on the Shroud. Created by artist Álvaro Blanco after fifteen years of research, the 1.78-meter figure is crafted from silicone, latex, and hand-implanted human hair.

The exhibition has already visited 15 locations across three continents, including cities such as Milan, Miami, and Madrid, attracting over 500,000 visitors. The installation includes a full-scale backlit facsimile of the Shroud, photographic negatives, and virtual reality resources depicting episodes of the Passion of Christ. It also integrates local heritage pieces from the San Pedro parish.
