Pips is a single-player game released by The New York Times in August 2025 that utilizes a unique variation of dominoes. Unlike traditional dominoes, players must navigate color-coded conditions within specific spaces.

Gameplay involves placing tiles vertically or horizontally to meet various requirements, such as ‘Number’ (where pips must sum to a specific value), ‘Equal’, ‘Not Equal’, ‘Less than’, or ‘Greater than’. If a player becomes stuck, the game currently only offers the option to reveal the entire puzzle, which requires the player to restart at a different difficulty level.
