The Night of the Witch theater anime unveils double key visuals

Aniplex released two new key visuals for the upcoming theater anime "Mahou Tsukai no Yoru" (The Night of the Witch). The visuals, created by TYPE‑MOON and animation studio ufotable, were shown at the FGO Fes. 2026 on August 1. TYPE‑MOON’s special visual was drawn by character designer Hirokazu Koyama and features Aoko Aozaki in a school uniform standing before a mansion gate. ufotable’s second visual depicts Aoko and Yuzuru Kuonji inside a grand hall illuminated by soft light.

Pre‑sale tickets for the film will be available from August 28 at a price of ¥1,500 and include a limited‑edition booklet titled "Mahou Tsukai no Yoru – Apprentice Magician Reader". The film is scheduled to open in Japanese theaters on November 20, 2026. In addition, Aniplex announced a smartphone app version of the original visual novel, set for release on the same date, retaining full voice acting and the original production values. The game is already available on Steam, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
