The Nuclear Company proposes 6.6 GW power campus in Kentucky

The Nuclear Company has announced Prosperity One, a proposed nuclear energy campus located in Lewis County, Kentucky. Situated along the Ohio River, the development could feature up to six Westinghouse AP1000 reactors, potentially generating approximately 6.6 gigawatts of electricity.

If fully constructed, the site would be the largest nuclear power campus in the United States and among the largest globally. The project aims to increase American energy production and provide industrial investment, skilled jobs, and economic opportunities to the region. The company intends to begin site development and pursue federal approvals with the goal of starting construction in 2028.
