Siddharth Malhotra's 'The One' sees strong box office growth

The mystery thriller 'The One', starring Siddharth Malhotra and Tamanna Bhatia, has demonstrated a strong performance at the box office following its release. Directed by Arun Gopalan, the film follows a police officer investigating supernatural events in a village based on local folklore.

Initial reports indicate a steady upward trend in earnings. While opening day collections were noted at approximately 4.5 crore to 8 crore rupees, the film saw growth over its first three days. By the end of the third day, the net domestic collection reached approximately 33.25 crore rupees, with a gross collection of 39.65 crore rupees. The worldwide collection stands at approximately 43.15 crore rupees, including 3.50 crore rupees from overseas markets.

Critics and trade analysts have highlighted the performances of the lead actors and the film's visual presentation. Despite the positive domestic momentum, reports suggest the film has faced challenges in securing significant audience traction in South Indian markets and international territories compared to regional competitors.
