The Others returns to theaters for 25th anniversary

The supernatural horror film ‘The Others’, directed by Alejandro Amenábar, is returning to cinemas to celebrate its 25th anniversary. The re-release features a 4K restoration and will be available in select theaters, including Cinemex in Mexico, starting October 22.

Starring Nicole Kidman, the film follows a woman and her two children living in an isolated mansion on the island of Jersey. The production, which was a Spanish film despite being shot in English, was a significant milestone for Amenábar, who worked alongside figures such as Tom Cruise and the Weinsteins.

Originally released in 2001, ‘The Others’ was the highest-grossing horror film of its year, earning over $210 million globally. The film received critical acclaim and won eight Goya Awards, including Best Film, Best Director, and Best Original Screenplay.
