The Party television series review

The five-part thriller series ‘The Party’, adapted by Lucy Gilmour from Elizabeth Day’s 2017 bestseller, follows the unraveling of a mystery after a gun is fired at a themed event. The story begins with political journalist Martin, played by Luke Evans, being interviewed by police in a bloodstained shirt.

The narrative uses flashbacks to explore the complex histories, betrayals, and class resentments of a group of characters attending a ‘Victorian freak show’ themed party at a country estate. The cast includes Tom Cullen, Lydia Leonard, Sarah Solemani, and Douglas Hodge.
