The Pineapple Thief announces new album ‘Far and Wide’

The Pineapple Thief is set to release its 16th studio album, titled ‘Far and Wide’, on Friday, Oct. 9. Band founder Bruce Soord discussed the creative direction of the new record, noting a desire to capture live energy within the studio environment.

Soord explained that the band adopted a philosophy of avoiding studio trickery to ensure that everything recorded could be performed authentically on stage. Drawing inspiration from classic bands like Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, the group focused on a core arrangement of guitar, vocals, drums, and keys to recreate the feeling of a band playing together in a garage.
