The Pokémon Company sees record revenue growth amid 30th anniversary

The Pokémon Company is experiencing significant financial growth, with sales revenue projected to reach approximately 531.4 billion yen ($3.4 billion) by the end of the fiscal year ending February 2026. This represents a 4.4-fold increase compared to the 120 billion yen reported in February 2021. Net income has seen even more dramatic expansion, rising approximately 13.6 times over the last nine fiscal years to reach the 120 billion yen range.

Key drivers of this growth include the release of the Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket app and major video game titles such as Pokémon Legends: Z-A. The company also recently opened its first permanent outdoor facility, Poképark Kanto.

As the franchise approaches its 30th anniversary in 2026, celebrations include the release of the music video ‘Pokémon All Stars 1025’, a commemorative song featuring all 1,025 Pokémon species. The company, a joint venture between Nintendo, Creatures, and Game Freak, continues to manage the brand's global licensing and management.
