The Posthumous Investigation to launch on Nintendo Switch and mobile

The Brazilian investigation game ‘The Posthumous Investigation’ is scheduled for release on Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android on September 17. Developed by Mother Gaia Studio and published by CriticalLeap, the title is already available on PC via Steam and Nuuvem.

Set in a noir-inspired 1937 Rio de Janeiro, the game draws inspiration from the literary works of Machado de Assis. Players act as a detective hired by the deceased Brás Cubas to solve his own murder. The gameplay utilizes a time-loop mechanic, allowing players to relive the same day repeatedly to gather clues, observe suspect routines, and reconstruct timelines using a ‘Thinking Board’ feature.

The mobile versions will support Bluetooth controllers and touch commands, and a free prologue will be available as a demonstration. The game features hand-drawn art and supports multiple languages, including Portuguese, English, Russian, Japanese, and Chinese.
