The Pout-Pout Fish family film screens in Romania August 2026

The animated family adventure "The Pout-Pout Fish" (original title "Povestea peștilor posac") is scheduled for theatrical release in Romania in August 2026. At Cinema Independența in Târgoviște the film will be shown on Saturday, 8 August and Saturday, 15 August. The story follows Mr. Fish, who lives on an old wreck, and a hyper‑active young sea dragon named Pip; after a clash that destroys their homes they embark on a quest for the legendary Shimmer, a creature said to grant wishes, while competing with other seekers.

The film features voice performances by Nick Offerman, Miranda Otto, Amy Sedaris, Remy Hii and Mark Coles Smith, and is directed by Ricard Cussó. It is rated AG for general audiences. A broader Romanian schedule published by Stil FM lists additional 2D screenings in Călărași between 7 August and 3 September 2026, with multiple showtimes for the dubbed version of the film.
