The Power of 3 announces debut album with producer Eddie Kramer

The Power of 3 debut album Orianthi Cindy Blackman Santana Rhonda Smith

The musical trio The Power of 3, consisting of guitarist Orianthi, drummer Cindy Blackman Santana, and bassist Rhonda Smith, has announced their self-titled debut album. Scheduled for release on December 11 via She2Music, the album was produced by legendary producer Eddie Kramer, known for his work with Jimi Hendrix and David Bowie.

The group has also released a debut double single featuring ‘War In The Streets’ and ‘Treat Me Like A Lady’. The album was recorded entirely in analog and includes a guest appearance by Carlos Santana. The formation of the group was reportedly inspired by a suggestion from Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis to create a power trio similar to Hendrix’s Band of Gypsys.

The members bring extensive professional backgrounds, having previously collaborated with artists such as Prince, Michael Jackson, Beyoncé, and Jeff Beck.
