Disney has announced a 20th-anniversary theatrical re-release of Christopher Nolan’s 2006 film, The Prestige, scheduled for January 29, 2027. For the first time, the film will be available in IMAX and 70mm formats, alongside its original 35mm and Digital 2D presentations.

Set in Victorian London, the thriller follows the escalating rivalry between two magicians, Robert Angier (Hugh Jackman) and Alfred Borden (Christian Bale), who engage in a dangerous obsession to outdo one another. The film features a supporting cast including Michael Caine, Scarlett Johansson, Rebecca Hall, Andy Serkis, and David Bowie as Nikola Tesla.

Originally released in October 2006, the film was an adaptation of Christopher Priest’s novel and received Academy Award nominations for cinematography and art direction. While the announcement focuses on the US distribution, specific details regarding international release dates and participating theaters have not yet been confirmed.
