The Progressive Corporation sees shifts in institutional holdings

Institutional investors have recently adjusted their positions in The Progressive Corporation (NYSE: PGR). According to SEC filings, Avalon Trust Co acquired a new position in the insurance provider during the second quarter, purchasing 118,434 shares valued at approximately $25.87 million. This acquisition represents about 1.6% of Avalon Trust Co’s portfolio.

In contrast, River Road Asset Management LLC reduced its stake in the company by 3.1% during the second quarter. The firm sold 14,955 shares, leaving it with a total of 467,075 shares valued at approximately $102.03 million. Despite this reduction, the holding still accounts for 1.1% of River Road Asset Management LLC’s investment portfolio.
