The Promised Neverland Marks 10th Anniversary with New Manga Chapter and Artwork

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the manga series The Promised Neverland, Shueisha announced a special spin‑off chapter that will run in Weekly Shonen Jump later this summer. Original creator Kaiu Shirai and illustrator Posuka Demizu are reuniting for the new story, which is expected to follow the older versions of the main trio—Emma, Norman and Ray—after the events of the original series.

The anniversary campaign also includes a brand‑new illustration featuring the three protagonists, a nationwide casting call for a stage musical in Japan, and other commemorative projects. The series, which debuted in August 2016, has sold more than 40 million copies worldwide and remains a flagship title for Shueisha.

Fans anticipate that the upcoming chapter will serve as an epilogue or side story, providing fresh content for a franchise that continues to enjoy strong popularity more than a decade after its launch.
