The Relic: First Guardian announced for Nintendo Switch 2

The dark action RPG The Relic: First Guardian, developed by Project Cloud Games and published by Perp Games, is expanding its platform availability. The title has been confirmed for release on Nintendo Switch 2 and is currently available for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Play Anywhere.

Set in the ruined world of Arsilthus, the game draws inspiration from Korean folklore and mythology. Players act as the last Guardian, collecting Relics—fragments imbued with the emotions and wishes of former inhabitants—to restore prosperity to the land.

Key gameplay features include a combat system where attacks do not consume stamina, allowing players to reserve stamina strictly for defensive maneuvers like dodging and blocking. The game features a semi-open world and includes up to 80 tragic bosses. Additionally, the equipment system is unique in that each weapon and piece of armor exists only once in the game world, with every item possessing its own individual history.
