The Reluctant Vampire TV adaptation premieres on BBC

The BBC is releasing a six-part television adaptation of Eric Morecambe’s 1982 children’s novel, ‘The Reluctant Vampire’. The series is scheduled to premiere on Sunday, October 4, airing at 6:40pm BST on BBC One and becoming available for streaming on BBC iPlayer from 6am.

Starring Lenny Rush as Valentine, the coming-of-age sitcom follows a fifteen-year-old boy who discovers he is actually human rather than a vampire, despite his father being the vampire king. The adaptation is produced by Neil and Rob Gibbons, the creators behind ‘Alan Partridge’. Viewers in the UK can access the series for free with a valid TV licence and a BBC account.
