The Resource Group acquires former hospital site in Molde

The Resource Group (TRG), an investment company wholly owned by billionaire Kjell Inge Røkke, has purchased the former hospital site in Molde, Norway. The acquisition was confirmed by Helse Møre og Romsdal.

TRG plans to develop the area over time, though Jan Petter Storetvedt of TRG noted that the project is long-term and will require significant investment and detailed clarifications before development begins. The purchase price for the plot remains undisclosed. The hospital site, which had been in operation since 1960, ceased operations in the summer of 2025.

TRG serves as the holding company for Røkke’s various investments, including Aker, Aker BP, Aker Solutions, and Solstad Offshore. Recent financial reports for TRG show that Røkke took out 1 billion NOK in dividends in 2025.
