The Revolutionaries series premieres on Prime Video

The period action drama ‘The Revolutionaries’ has premiered on Prime Video. Adapted from Sanjeev Sanyal’s book, ‘Revolutionaries: The Other Story of How India Won Its Freedom’, the series depicts the efforts of freedom fighters Rash Behari Bose, Bagha Jatin, and Sachindranath Sanyal to establish a secret network of soldiers to wage war against British rule.

Directed by Nikkhil Advani, the series features a cast including Bhuvan Bam, Pratibha Ranta, Rohit Saraf, and Gurfateh Pirzada. While the production is noted for its massive scale, immersive universe, and high-quality cinematography, critics have noted a heavy emphasis on spectacle over character depth and interiority.
