The Rings of Power Season 3 features Simon Pegg as the Balrog

Prime Video has released new promotional artwork for the third season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, focusing on a close-up of the Balrog. Actor Simon Pegg has been cast to provide the voice for the creature, which is described as an intelligent and dangerous adversary.

Co-showrunner J. D. Payne indicated that the upcoming season aims to explore a different side of the demon, including a planned encounter between the Balrog and Sauron. This development follows the creature's emergence in previous seasons, which led to the sacrifice of King Durin. The new season is scheduled to return to Prime Video on November 11, 2026.
