The Running Event Opens Registration for 20th Anniversary Trade Show in San Antonio
The Running Event (TRE), North America’s premier run‑specialty retail conference, announced that registration is now open for its 20th edition, scheduled for December 1‑3, 2026 at the Henry B. González Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas. Early‑bird pricing is available through September 24, and more than 310 brands have already confirmed exhibits, promising the largest show‑floor in the event’s history. Organizers highlighted the education program themed “Celebrating Run Specialty: Now and Tomorrow,” and noted additional activities such as an opening party, a River Walk Run, and an Indie 5K.
Separately, a series of nostalgia‑themed races for millennials and Gen X are being held across the United States. Events include the “Never Say Die Run” in Long Beach, California, which supports the Santa Ana Hamster Rescue; the “Office 5K” in Scranton, Pennsylvania, featuring costumes from the TV series The Office; and a “Saved by the Bell” 5K/10K/half‑marathon in Canoga Park, California. These runs blend fitness with pop‑culture fandom and raise awareness for various charitable causes.
