THE SEED Pavilion by REAL Architects opens in Shanghai's West Bund

The 230 m² "THE SEED" pavilion, designed by the architectural firm REAL Architects, is being built for developer Hongkong Land in Shanghai’s West Bund Central Phase II. The project, slated for completion in 2026, is positioned at the geometric centre of a stepped landscape and serves as a key anchor along the Xuhui waterfront cultural corridor.

Key contributors include lead architects David He and Naiji Jiao, with a design team of Xiru Chen, Jing Wang, Ying Wang, Yuxuan Xu and Yining He. Construction is handled by JAZ Build, while Brandston Partnership Inc. provides consulting services. The pavilion echoes the nearby West Bund Orbit, reinforcing the area’s transformation from an industrial shoreline to a continuous pedestrian cultural axis.
