The Shamrocks announce debut UK tour

The Emmy Award-winning Northern Irish musical group The Shamrocks is preparing for its debut 12-date UK tour this autumn. The tour, which features the five-piece harmony and multi-instrumental ensemble, is scheduled to begin at Birmingham Symphony Hall on October 17 and conclude with a homecoming performance at Belfast’s SSE Arena on November 20.

Founding member Raymond Walsh stated that the group was inspired by a desire to showcase Belfast and Northern Ireland in a positive, uplifting light, moving away from historical narratives of ‘The Troubles’. The group aims to highlight the city’s modern identity and the talent of musicians from diverse community backgrounds. The live shows are expected to feature reimagined versions of classics such as ‘Danny Boy’, ‘Wild Rover’, and ‘Whiskey In The Jar’, alongside original compositions.
