The Shards thriller series premieres on Disney+

The Shards, a new thriller series produced by Ryan Murphy for FX and streaming on Disney+, has premiered to significant interest. Based on the novel by Bret Easton Ellis, the series is set in 1981 Los Angeles and follows a group of wealthy teenagers whose lives are disrupted by the arrival of a charismatic newcomer and the presence of a serial killer known as ‘The Trawler’.

In France, new episodes are released on Disney+ on Thursday mornings, typically around 9:00 AM, following the previous night's broadcast on FX in the United States. The fifth episode, titled ‘Murder on the Dancefloor’, is scheduled for release on August 20, 2026, in France.
