The Shepherd Mayfair boutique hotel to open in London

The Shepherd Mayfair, a new boutique hotel located in London’s historic Shepherd Market, is set to open in October. The hotel occupies the site of The Cottage, Mayfair’s oldest house dating back to 1618.

Designed by Timothy Shepherd, the hotel features three distinct dining and social concepts. Fayre is a 62-cover restaurant focusing on British produce and European classics, such as beef Wellington pithivier and citrus-cured trout. The hotel also includes The Lounge, a café-style space, and Teddy’s, a late-night cocktail bar.

The interior design draws inspiration from 18th and 19th-century Mayfair mansions, blending historical references with contemporary luxury. The restaurant's decor includes dark timber panelling and theatrical wall coverings by artist Adam Ellis.
